We’re a small but passionate team on a mission to make remote work feel more connected, human, and healthy.

At The Wellbeing Room, we believe that supporting your team’s mental and emotional wellbeing isn’t a luxury - it’s essential. Founded from lived experience, everything we do is rooted in empathy, authenticity, and a deep understanding of the challenges remote teams face.

We bring together professional training in mental health, coaching, and nutrition, alongside real-life experience of working (and burning out) in remote environments. We're here to create safe spaces, spark meaningful conversations, and help teams reconnect—with themselves and each other.

Hi, I’m Evie, founder of The Wellbeing Room. Here's why I'm passionate about bringing wellbeing to remote teams!

I spent almost two decades as a graphic designer, and when COVID hit I left the office and started working from home. At first it felt manageable, but it didn't take long before the isolation kicked in. Endless Zoom meetings and hours upon hours on my own became my daily reality. Genuine connection with my colleagues felt out of reach. It was lonely and draining, and soon I found myself struggling with my mental health.

After several years of mostly remote working, I was made redundant. It was tough, but also a wake-up call. Before redundancy I'd had a course of career coaching, searching for clarity and direction. Those coaching sessions helped me realise that to be happy I needed to do something meaningful, something rewarding that genuinely helped other people.

During this time, I developed my interest in wellbeing. I completed a mental health first aid course and a level 4 nutrition course. I started incorporating yoga, meditation and other daily rituals into my routine. These practices helped my mental health significantly, and I knew I wanted to create the kind of supportive community I wished I'd had during those difficult times, and moving forward for my wellbeing.

That's why I started The Wellbeing Room. It's my mission to make remote work feel less remote; to make virtual teams feel engaged, and become a whole lot healthier. I want teams to experience real connection, build genuine friendships, and learn to support each other in meaningful ways. Because let's be honest: life's messy, and none of us have it completely figured out. But we can—and we will—figure it out together.

So here we are! The Wellbeing Room was born from lived experience, real challenges, and a deep desire to help others feel less alone at work. Together, Helen and I are on a mission to help remote teams connect, communicate, and thrive. I’m Helen Harmer, a qualified Life Coach and co-owner of The Wellbeing Room. My background is in health and social welfare, where I spent many years supporting people through life’s challenges — from mental health difficulties to the everyday pressures that come with work and home life. Along the way, I saw first-hand how stress, isolation and constant busyness can quietly erode our sense of well-being — especially in remote and hybrid working environments.

My own journey has not been without its struggles. After experiencing poor mental health myself, I reached a point where I knew something had to change. Step by step, I began to rebuild — learning to slow down, reconnect, and focus on what truly matters. That process of healing and rediscovery led me to life coaching, where I found both my purpose and my peace.

Today, I’m proud to help others do the same. As a qualified Life Coach with a passion for mindset and clarity coaching, I guide individuals and teams to find balance, reduce stress, and create lives and workplaces that feel grounded, purposeful and fulfilling.

At The Wellbeing Room, I bring together my lived experience, professional background, and genuine belief that well-being isn’t a luxury — it’s the foundation for everything else.
